Our chilled out Festive family event offers a laidback afternoon of activities that can include the whole family during this festive season. Get some time to reconnect and get out of the house with lighthearted activities and entertainment that includes all the traditions of a Western style Christmas but with a Thai twist. Let us help you to find time and space to enjoy the company of your family and meet other families too, through guided, relaxing activities, in a beautiful setting at the Antique Café.

Enjoy our delicious signature Festive Fusion cocktail/mocktail offered throughout the day.

(Thai whiskey/brandy – suggest meridian brandy, ginger ale, squeeze of lime/lemon, orange zest and rosemary sprig). Can call it the Christmas cracker. - Mocktail version can have a maraschino cherry in it to make sure the kids don’t pick up a boozy one)

Cooking

Thai rice crackers with mild Thai dipping sauce (Kao Tung na Tung), Satay Chicken skewers and traditional peanut dipping sauce, sweet Coconut rice balls.

Learn to prepare this array of traditional Thai hors d’oeuvres together that your family can enjoy throughout the day. Learn how to prepare to impress your friends at your next festive gathering/family reunion while also creating some wonderful memories with your family as you work together to create your feast!! Includes information on the best places to find the ingredients and a recipe leaflet to help you remember the steps when you are ready to try making them again at home!

Hands on crafts:

Traditional old World ‘Pomander Balls’ with a Thai twist.

Can be used as gifts, to scent your home/car/bag, to decorate your home and be used as a Christmas ornament. The ingredients used are a beautiful aromatic mixture that have roots in both Asia and Europe. A perfect rustic keepsake to celebrate this experience and this time of year with your loved ones. (Ingredients: burlap sack, jasmine rice -to hold shape but also to encourage more of a Thai element- cinnamon stick, cloves, dried orange, star anise – used in many Asian dishes, used in Chinese remedies and in Europe to protection and perfume) can decorate outside with gold or red ribbon).

Sing Along

Join in as we sing some traditional Christmas songs using traditional Thai instruments to leave you with a bright feeling of joy and optimism for the coming year.

Jingle bells, we wish you a merry Christmas, white Christmas, frosty the snowman.

Throughout the afternoon there will be a Christmas movie station where you can curl up with a hot chocolate and some freshly made popcorn a few family favourites,  as well as a selection of board games for all ages to enjoy. Play with your own family, or perhaps with new friends you make on the day!
